Gregory Eltringham
Gregory Eltringham is a painting professor, writer, musician, and visual artist. His paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo, two-person and group exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. Exhibitions include Old Fashioned, IGCA, Anchorage Alaska; Commitment to Scenario, Heinz-Martin Weigand Gallery, Berlin DE, Not Really: Fictive Narratives in Contemporary Art; a two-person show with Leonid Sokhranski at SPAM Contemporary, Düsseldorf Germany; Nord/Sud, with Brooklyn artist Matt Blackwell at Triangle Arts Association, Brooklyn NY; and East of Eden, Gallery Pryzmat, Krakow, Poland. He is a member of Friendship Magic Collective, an ongoing project with artist Honor Bowman Hall, engaged in a range of activities including studio production, writing, and musical performance, all organized around the following concept: Enjoyment is Part of the Program.
Gregory Eltringham (b. Hartford, Connecticut, and resides in Savannah, Georgia) graduated from the Art Institute of Boston, received a BA from Northeastern University, and an MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art & Design. He taught in Florida and Missouri for fifteen years before moving back to Savannah in 2005, where he is currently a Professor of Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is represented by Wolfgang Gallery.
