Adéla Janská

Portrait of artist Adéla Janská, Wolfgang Gallery, Atlanta, GA

Adéla Janská is among the female artists who have emerged on the Czech fine arts scene without receiving their schooling at the notorious art centres. The Olomouc-born author studied in Slovakia (Bánská Bystrica), only to return to her home town afterwards. Having graduated from the Academy of Arts in 2009, her first exhibition took place as late as 2013. Yet, in the shadow of the art metropolises, if there even is such a thing in our context, an original painter has developed, one of a unique contentual world and convincing artistic expression. Last year she had her debut exhibition in the USA in her home Gallery “The Something Machine” Adela lives and works in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
